No fishing today.

June 20th, 2010

I planed to do Fight the Lazy’s T-shirts this weekend but the sky didn’t agree with the idea. Preferring pissing on my roof. Since all is done except for the printing part, it should be done in the week. I don’t loose faith in the summer to come around one day.

So I decided to make a clean logo for BHMTH, the one you saw in my animation some days before. To explain a little, BHMTH is my pseudo —this makes me realize that I promised you an explanation of it some light years ago.— and it’s represented with only a B in drop of China ink.

For this I used the excellent HDRI Light Kit Pro made by the excellent Nick Campbell. What I must say is that for a first try with it, I felt just like home, as if those tools where built in the app. It’s easy to play with light and get instant sexiness in your scene. I will make a full review of it when I’ll have play more with this guy. Not Nick Campbell, the plugin.

To finish fellows, a bad news. No, no don’t cry, don’t do this again, it’s not negotiable !

I’ll be out of town for the next three days and I don’t think I’ll be able to catch you. But don’t forget to come back on Thursday as I got my ticket for the OFFF Paris festival and I will make a daily debrief, right here, on my Fight the Lazy cherished blog.

Still Fighting

May 30th, 2010

It’s been a while since the last post folks. This because I had some work and took a week of vacation in New-York City.

Don’t be afraid, the lazy didn’t catch me. I learned a lot during the last month. Not only in watching tutos but also in making my own animation to introduce this site.

I’ve been inspired by the destruction plugin to explode the house and really loved the envelope spline tool of C4D for the ribbon.
As I said before I’m kind of a begginer with Cinema and After Effects so don’t be cruel. I know some part of it could be “sexier” but you sometimes have to finish one project to do better on the next one.

I also discovered the utility of tweeter and just started to learn how to use it.

Last thing, I couldn’t resist to buy an iPad when I was in the US.
Once you have the good apps in this thing, it becomes the perfect tool. You can have all the social connections, show your work, photos and videos look awesome on it, and of course play with it.
Maybe I will make a full post about it cause there is so much to say.

Have fun and I promise I will update soon.

Cinema 4D first renders

April 12th, 2010

Hi guys !

I tried to do some stuff after watching a GreyScaleGorilla tuto. Once again, Nick is blowing me with some tips that makes a beautiful piece from nothing.

Of course I did my way not to be too close from his render. I’ve been trying a couple of things and what I show here are two completely different renders. Feel free to tell me what you think of it and wich is your favorite. Those are my first real renders in Cinema 4D so be kind.

Don’t forget to check the GreyScaleGorilla site if you didn’t already knew it.

Next time I will make a post about pictures I made in africa few years ago but retouching last week only. So lazy…

Catch you up later guys.
